OverviewBy Light is hiring a Strategic Cyber Planner to join our team supporting our DoD customer. Provide technical expertise to assist with the development of strategic and operational plans that contain a variety of viable cyberspace options, including mission analysis, courses of action (COA) development, COA analysis war gaming, COA comparison and approval, commander’s estimates, campaign plans, and order development.
Responsibilities
Assist with deliberate planning to include the management and implementation of the Adaptive Planning Process from strategic guidance to completion of level one through level four plans.
Provide in-depth deliberate planning expertise for the development of policy, plans, processes, procedures, and governing directives for the operation, protection, and defense of the DODIN and provide input to address shortfalls, prioritize and validate requirements and be prepared to modify development-planning efforts based on the changing cyberspace environment.
Provide analysis and develop documentation necessary to develop future CCMD’s campaign plans, operational, and contingency plans.
Coordinate, de-conflict, and facilitate communications with all applicable staff elements, subordinate headquarters/commands, service cyber components, CCMD, components, and agencies with cyber-related missions.
Provide the technical research, analysis, and recommendations to develop cyberspace COAs, CONOPs, and TTPs in order to support cyberspace operations and long-range/deliberate planning efforts.
Provide recommendations concerning synchronizing cyberspace operations more effectively with the collection, review, and assessment of existing DOD and service cyber documentation, exercise, and event scenario reports, CONOPs, TTPs, and lessons learned.
Required Experience/Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in developing plans that receive input from multiple units, and devising a final plan.
Experience in COA development and analysis.
Knowledge of the Military Adaptive Planning Process.
Experience with Joint Operational Planning Process.
Experience in an Operations Center providing Senior Leaders specified reports based on information received from supporting units' operations (proxy, firewall, IDS/IPS, router/switch, or open source information).
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
Currently possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
Current TS/SCI security clearance.
Position requires proof of Covid-19 full vaccination status or qualified exemptions
