Job Description:
We are looking for part time IT Instructors to teach Computer Networking & Cloud Computing courses involving CompTIA, and Microsoft Certification products Monday through Friday 5 to 9:30pm. Prior Training and certifications are a plus.
We are not just looking for any instructor, we need instructors that care about their students learning process and are very detailed in paperwork.
Duties: * Designs network training courses and manuals by identifying and describing information needs; revising and editing final copy. * Conducts training classes by presenting networking systems and configurations of servers and networking administration, and job-specific processes, procedures, and protocols. * Evaluates training by measuring on-the-job performance; conferring with supervisors. * Ensures operation of training equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Other Job Duties include:
* Provide classroom and/or Lab instruction
* Administer and evaluate exams
* Participate in the development or classroom projects and group activities
* Evaluate student performance
* Counsels students on deficiencies in academic and behavior, makes appropriate community referrals, and completed documentation within required time
* Provides student tutoring as needed.
* Provides information on unresolved students issues and performance deficiencies for subsequent intervention and follow-up with Administration as needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications: Computer & Networking Knowledge, Network Protocols, Indepth understanding of :
Cisco Routing and Switching, Networking skills (e.g.: OSI, TCP/IP, IPv4/v6, ACL, NAT, DNS, DHCP, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, STP, SNMP)
Network Security, Wireless Technologies, Networking tools, Computer Training Management, People Skills, Informing Others, Presentation Skills, Presenting Technical Information, Verbal Communication, Motivating Others, Professionalism
Some teaching experience will be advantageous.
Preferred Skills and Experience needed:
Any advanced certifications will be considered a plus: Windows Server 2012-2016 Active Directory Configuration, Win 2012-2016 Network Infrastructure, Win 2012-2016Application Infrastructure, Win 2012-2016Enterprise Admin.
Prior teaching experience is desirable, but not required
Ability to be highly organized, & detail oriented
Excellent persuasive communication skills
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff and faculty
Consistently display the highest levels of integrity
Exceptional social and customer focused
