Go into eBenefits and logon. Create an account if you do not have one. Then search for an ACCREDITED claims agent or attorney in your area.

I should note too that not all of the service officers within the service organizations or your county service officers are accredited. Some receive training while for most it is merely on the job, per se. You will encounter a lot of good ones with little training doing the job because they care about the Veterans and others who simply go through the motions. Regrettably, there are those who want the title but not the work that goes with it.

Another good resource for you would be the patient advocate at your local VA clinic or hospital. These folks are hired by the VA to benefit you. Talk to these people and see if they have a recommendation and do your own follow-up. If you still have problems after that, shoot me a note and I will help locate someone to help you.

I used Military Order of the Purple Heart. They reviewed medical records in two days. The next day I turned them into the San Antonio VA (March 2016) and within a week I was scheduled for my all my appointments. My rating came back at 100% in October 2016. Bottom line, I had a very good experience using MOPH. Good Luck!

Personally, I use the Paralyzed Veteran's of America! - they are great for ME ( I was medically retired due to the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis back in the 80's ) - and Minneapolis/St Paul has a Traumatic Brain Injury ( TBI ) center that a lot of Doctors from the University of Minnesota assist. I Thank God everyday for the VA in Minneapolis/St. Paul. I guess I am lucky.
