Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will lead a Team of subject matter experts who research, analyze and manage maintenance requirement for U.S. Navy Surface Ships. They will measure Team performance in production and schedule, lead process review and improvement Teams, and provide the Navy with innovative solutions to ship and class specific maintenance issues. This position requires a thorough understanding of the U. S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization, the CNO Availability planning process, JFMM requirements, and the NAVSEA Corrosion Control Assessment and Maintenance Manual. Position requires a working level knowledge of Navy Automated Information Systems such as NDE, NMD, VSB and M&SWP.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of one year of leading a team or managing staff.
Must have high proficiency with MS Office as well as web-based applications and databases.
Must be able to work independently and respond to short notice tasking.
Must be able to present information to large audiences in a clear and concise. manner and be able to facilitate effective meetings between multiple corrosion maintenance stakeholders.
Desired skills and knowledge:

5 or more years leading naval engineering or maintenance teams
10 or more years in Navy Maintenance and Modernization experience
Must have a DOD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher
Must be able and eligible to travel
Client Engagement
Routine duties include:

- Interface with senior military/civilian management personnel.
- Compose correspondence, create spreadsheets, and manage databases, as needed.
- Perform adhoc research for the Client to incorporate new technology and modeling into existing maintenance strategies.
