Mid-week check-in, after a heck of a week in many areas. How are you doing?

After an unexpected winter storm, I am starting to get back in my groove but struggle sometimes with all the extra. I'm sure many of you can empathize with that.

Every day can be a challenge, but as caregivers, we show up. If you are struggling or feeling alone please reach out or go to http://operationfamilycaregiver.org/ofc-internal-referral-form/

Absolutely! Two days of 70 degrees has got me ready for spring to stay. Stay safe and well!

I would like to share a poem I wrote:

I sit down against the tree and dirty my jeans
Sunshine sprinkles through the trees
The leaves whisper their existence
The wind cools my cheeks
I lose myself in the moment
The sweet smell of wildflowers wafts through the air
Nothing else matters
There is no concept of time
I absorb the beauty the world offers
Today might be a good
I might find myself again

Everyone should have someone OUTSIDE their home to check in with. I also recommend caregivers connect on MVCN (Red Cross). Need a link, send me a message or tag me

Yes! MVCN is one of my favorite supports. Many people do not understand the need for outside support until they have had it. We are all on this wild ride of life together and need to know we are not alone. It's important to reach out when in need of support, thank you for offering your support too!

I have good friends through my church who check on me frequently. We’re all good. One fellow, a retired Texas Ranger, lives only a block away. He’s always armed and has access to my house.
