GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager – Product Sales will require an in-depth understanding of customer problems, with the ability to demonstrate and present PLEXSYS products to solve them. While most product applications will be defense oriented, they are also applicable to several commercial domains for training, education, emergency management, and simulation.

You will help identify key customers, be they end users, defense prime contractors or system integrators. You will be able to engage, demonstrate and develop a partnership approach to support end customers and solve complex problems. Through these efforts, engagements will assist broadening market competitiveness, pricing, distribution, and channel strategy.

You will execute sales efforts, monitor the results, and quantify the successes and shortfalls. Within the wider BD team, you will assist in developing leads, turning them into opportunities and converting them to sales, establishing long-term customer success. This role will also work closely with Marketing to achieve

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement assigned product sales strategies
Work across all Directorates, liaising with Product Managers and Product Support M&S Specialist to ensure products are designed to meet customer requirements
Develop and execute defense and commercial product sales strategies to expand the company's defense and commercial customer base
Work closely with PLEXSYS and ImmersaView leadership to develop, establish, and direct channel distribution strategies
Develop and maintain key customer relationships
Give in-depth demonstrations and presentations of PLEXSYS and ImmersaView products
Assist the Director of Marketing in developing and implementing a corporate Product Sales marketing strategy, as assigned/needed
Support the company's participation in trade shows, industry events, workshops, and webinars
Contribute towards developing marketing collateral, white papers, and innovative marketing communications
Create quotes and proposals in coordination with PLEXSYS and ImmersaView Directorates
Update Salesforce continuously for corporate awareness and efficient execution
Work to continually improve sales processes for efficiencies and customer responsiveness
Special projects and miscellaneous duties, as assigned/needed

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of and experience in Defense Simulation and Training markets
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or related field
Five years of marketing or sales experience in comparable industry; or military service
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
Experience in Customer Relationship Management and/or Capture lead systems
Experience working with business and industry with a focus on defense, and an understanding of commercial market differences
Effective at technical demonstrations and presenting to customers
Ability to clearly communicate in written form, such as technical proposal/white paper experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance of Secret or above

DESIRABLE

Experience in command and control; and/or
Experience in radio/data-links communication; and/or
Experience in after-action review and debriefing; and/or
Experience in immersive projection and display walls
Previous military experience
Background in aspects of Modelling and Simulation (M&S)
