Paul,
I always tell vets to find something to use your brain. I am 64 now, retired Army, retired from Defense Industry, 6 months after I stopped working back in July 2013 I felt my brain going to mush, I now work part time from home helping a company wire technical proposals, do your best to keep moving, do anything to keep brain engaged, an active brain is capable of so many more emotions and the involutary movements like smiling. Every where I go I smile at everyone on purpose, makes the other struggles blow away in the wind, smiling is like a workout in the gym, do it always just because you are breathing

Thats exactly what my psych doc told me and its good advice. Since I lost interest in everything I have been trying to find my way back. Slowly I am starting to want to do tings again. I do Volunteer as a Range Safety Officer and I love it so eventually Ill come out of my shell with the help of people like you and also the meds. Thanks for the encouragement brother.

Stay strong. In addition I have the moving target is harder to hit thought process. God looks constantly at his creation and those he put here all the time looking for those doing his business. I figure if I keep moving I will be viewed as useful to his purpose. Don't stop moving, you live longer. Then use your brain, its as easy as watching a bird in flight, just keep moving and using the brain.
