California to Ban Students Who Refuse to Wear Masks

The LA Times described it as building “on the recommendations” of the CDC, but in reality, they are implementing their own. The story notes the CDC rules “allow vaccinated students to attend classes without masks.” Then, in the very next sentence, they admit “California is choosing to take a more strict and uniform approach, which also is possible under the federal framework” (LA Times). https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-07-12/california-k-12-students-mask-rules
