Unaccompanied children crossing the border is up over 70 percent this year. Other categories and overall numbers are on the rise as well, reflecting significant increases since 2014. And it is not just the numbers that are troubling to Americans. They are worried about national security threats on the Southern border.
While the debate often flares around issues of terrorist travel, illegal immigration, and border walls, what is often lost sight of is the number one threat that fuels every facet of dangerous illegal activity on the border with Mexico—the transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) in Mexico and Central America.

I concur the increase in illegals crossing is bad news COL Mikel J. Burroughs
Unaccompanied children crossing the border need adult help on both sides to get to the southern border and to survive once they cross. This is a ploy to tug at the heart strings of gullible Americans.
Apprehended children need to be returned as soon as possible to authorities in Mexico with a bill for their care and feeding. That may seem harsh but there should be no free ride for illegal immigrants.

My comment. Kent Terry is a Facebook friend. His brother, Brian, was a Border Patrol officer murdered by cartel using FNF weapons while they were hauling in drugs. We have absolutely no security on our border with Mexico. I almost suspect that payoffs are being made, in Washington, for keeping the door open!

I know some of the border police in the USA are taking bribes and payoffs. Every so often they get busted. Some of them are helping run drugs into our country for a large payoff. Eventually they get busted, but look at all of the murders, kidnappings, and drugs here in our country for those crooked cops allowing it to happen.

Geeze! OMG, Mexico....is bad!!!! Tell that to all the redneck scumbag meth heads and tweakers, all those Washington politicians and rich people who snort coke, and all the crackheads in L.A., and the deep south. You people blame illegals for the cartels and all that tripe, but if there is anything to blame for the rise, and brutality of the cartels, do some research on the Drug Wars Ronald Reagan started. Add the corruption in those countries, and you get what we are experiencing.

I would prefer having a small government and independent from same. Also, legal immigration is normally not an issue.
It is my understanding, we did not wipe out most of the native population except the disease we were immune to did. I would had rather that not happen.
