Ken Kraetzer, I wish to ask a genuinely serious question because I don’t know the answer. In three out of four weeks, Army will have faced three I-AA teams: Abilene Christian University, The Citadel and Mercer. As I write this, none of these teams have a win among them.
Is this schedule a revised one because of COVID-19? I sure hope so. No I-A football program should play three I-AA opponents.

Yes Army had 9 of its 12 games canceled in mid August including home game vs Oklahoma and three good MId America Conf teams. They had to scramble to find opponents and put a new schedule together. They scheduled BYU for a homegame on the big CBS and that one was canceled because of a Covid outbreak at BYU. Some may have turned down opp to play Army because they did not want their defensive teams worn down by the Army option running game.
