About

The Department of Veterans Affairs is the country’s largest integrated health care system, with over 300,000 full-time employees and 100,000  health professional trainees. Together, we provide critical services to more than 6.3 million Veterans and their families every year. And each day, our work is guided by the ICARE values – Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect and Excellence. For professionals who share these values, we offer a wealth of medical, nursing and other clinical opportunities, along with various non-clinical positions such as administrative, HR and IT.

Veteran hiring

Hiring Veterans is a big part of our mission. So to help transition from military service to civilian careers, we provide numerous employment services, resources and benefits. This includes job-seeking tools, a skills translator and résumé builder, tuition assistance and leadership training programs. We also work to connect Veterans with other employers seeking former service members for open positions.
