Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse and happy "hump day" It's grey, overcast and cold in Northern Virginia this morning.
Dependent. The first thing that comes to mind is the military term that has always infuriated me. We label adults as "dependent". Anyway, off to the counseling perspective.
For the majority of us, independence means being an adult, making ones' own decisions, earing an income and generally being responsible for yourself physically, mentally, morally and emotionally. I often see people who have accomplished one or two of these and continue to struggle with the others. When we continue to be dependent on others we give up the right to be who we choose to be. It's important to work toward that goal and to assert yourself in any way that you can. I know that some of us depend on others due to circumstances beyond our control but as much as possible continue to grow and maintain your separtness. Depending on others (besides God) will make them the controller of your life's path.

Today begins my official prep work for heading to our FL home... and 1st on the list today is another Covid Test to make sure I don't have it and to provide documentation at the airports and at the airline...
