I’m here at Fort Benning for 91A AIT. I would like to know if I could ask drill sergeant about going Airborne. What do I need to prepare? I also heard that 91A is not eligible for airborne. Is it true?

Unfortunately, there are no authorizations for airborne 91A in the Army.
What you could do is volunteer for 75th Ranger/RASP. If you pass they'll reclass you to a job they need, very possibly 91B

PV2 (Join to see) that's just a class that you go to, the two aren't really comparable. If you stay in long enough you'll get a chance to go from your unit eventually
