Only if you have an MSW from an accredited university. We don’t commission officers into Behavioral Health Jobs who only have an MS in Psyc, Counseling, etc. the rule of thumb is; if a degree and license is recognized in all 50 states then we offer a commission. The Army also only recruits Clinical Psychologists. Not simply PhD. We do offer a program where the Army will fully find an MSW program and give you the two years of supervision to compete for your LCSW.

What program is this? Would I request this after submitting my packet? The LPC license is recognized in all 50 states just by differing titles.

It’s a one time a year board for a Masters in Social Work with the University of Kentucky. You commission as a 2LT, get paid the full two years you are in the program and when you graduate with your MSW you are promoted to 1LT and complete your two years of supervision. Following that you challenge the Licensed Clinical Social Worker Exam for Texas. Social workers perform therapy, lead combat stress teams, and so much more. Later in their career they can Perdue a fully funded DSW or PhD program and earn the Diplomate title through a program the Army offers. Only requirements are that you possess a BS in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or Criminal Justice, take the GRE and have a competitive GPA (3.0 or better). I hope that helps.

Brina LaChelle the program name is Army Master of Social Work Program. 14 months at the University of Kentucky followed by 26 month Social Work Internship Program (SWIP). First I would contact an Army Medical Department Recruiter at http://www.goarmy.com/AMEDD. They will send you program information and help you better understand the qualifications.
