Presidents
Who was the best Commander in Chief out of the last five (5) Presidents? Forget their political party affiliation, forget their domestic agenda, and just concentrate on their military wisdom, foreign policy, and duties as the Commander in Chief.

Sorry the picture I pulled off the Internet (leftie, righty, etc...)

Who did you like serving under and who would have liked to serve under?

Mine is clearly George Walker Bush - right or wrong he sent a message after 9-11!

Where do you stand? Vote and comment! Please keep it professional - thanks

Without a doubt the "Gipper and the Great Communicator" President Ronald Reagan, he transformed the military into a 21st century vision in respects to technology.

President Reagan I quote,
"In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we’ve been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price."

Ronald Reagan, for this reason: After Vietnam the military was in tatters, in all respects. He caused it to be re-built and instilled once again with pride.

I thought I retracted that comment, and replaced it with another comment. After originally posting it, I opened the "previous" comments, and it appears you were referencing a posting on President Carter, which would make your comments correct.
Speaking of the Presidents, I got to participate (as a young MP) in President Nixon's ignaugeration in Jan 1972.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig - Ronald Reagan worked with LIBERAL Tip O Neil. He compromised, ok not against air traffic controllers, most of the time.

Ronald Regan knew how to use the Military when needed, but also knew the Military gave him a strong negotiating back ground to and used that successfully as well.

SSG Trevor S. - When the previous LCMDR Fake Account Posts were removed it appeared to make it seem that I was commenting on one of your posts. I was not. My comments were NOT directed at any post of yours. Since they eliminated the fake account, but not the comments aimed at the fake account holder (if you did not name the account holder by name in your post), the comments that I and others posted do not make any sense anymore without the context of the posts by the now deleted account!
