The Humanitarian Medal should fill that need, but yes Sir, there should be awards for folks that work to help us all out.

NO! The DoD has too many "been there, done that" ribbons. Service Members who do exceptional work during this crisis can be recommended for existing medals.

Aren't our healthcare professionals risking their lives battling an invisible enemy? Doesn't it take bravery and selflessness to save people when there isn't even enough PPE to protect themselves, while trying to save everyone from this deadly virus without a cure?

If their is a medal it should encompass more than COVID-19 and be should go to those who went beyond the call of duty.
