So I've looked into the 614-200 and either im reading it wrong or its unclear. Heres the situation, unfortunately, I will need to go into surgery on my foot soon. Between breaking it and having bunions from wearing rockys for so many years I have to go into surgery. My podiatrist made me aware that I may not come back to the trail

Yes. You earned the badge when you graduated the academy. As long as you weren't removed for cause, the pumpkin is yours.

Confirmed with a Drill Sergeant I know that serves as the Senior Drill Sergeant for his unit. As long as you are not removed thru disciplinary reasons and performed your duties honorably, you can keep it on. And, you had to have pushed Trainees at least once.

Yes, as long as you weren't removed from the trail due to misconduct the Drill Sergeant Badge is yours.
