I'm gonna sit back and wait for someone to say "there is no mass punishment in the Army"..... If you say that, you're more than likely a 1SG...

SSG Warren Swan The Front Leaning Rest position ensures volunteers to assist ‘slow’ or just plain late Soldiers to get into the proper uniform QUICKLY !

But CSM, If a 1SG smiles at you.....you're about to have a life altering moment. How it turns out is in that smile, but it's gonna be interesting. I know if I hear my Government name used, it won't be too bad. If my rank and last name is used....I'm screwed, or he's about to blow his wig off on ALL the NCO's in the company. He'll even call the ones on Terminal just to tell them to get in there for a H/W tape test because of some ungldly reason only the Diamond wearers understand. Only time CSM/SGM's smile is when they either do their Change of Responsibility ceremonies, finally are retiring, or are selling you cars on "old" Bragg Blvd at 38% interest.
Front leaning rest DOES have a nasty way of changing attitudes.....but not the 1SG's tho.

It is and was mission accomplishment. I will say (and there are those on this site that can validate) that when something major was not accomplished due to a lack of Teamwork I personally held the leaders accountable releasing the Soldiers and accomplishing the Task. I did this as a PSG, 1SG, and CSM. There were times when it required the support of the Junior enlisted and they joined as well. It takes a Team to accomplish the mission.

In that case CSM, there's nothing wrong with that. But if the 82nd gets their fourth DUI and 7th Group gets drunk and beats the brakes off the SEALS and MARSOC folks in Faybttenam, there's no need to have 1st CAV on lockdown for the weekend. Well who cares about Hood. You might be doing them an early service locking them down.

Not quite true. 2ID in Korea gets their "Warrior Pass". Down south we get a heads up mid week before they are "supposed to show up". They show up and beat the brakes off people in Seoul, and by Friday morning PT formation 1SG "2ID is here and has been getting into fights. To "protect the integrity of you and the BN, you're either restricted to post, or live off post but cannot be on the Hill". So basically since 2ID NEVER knows how to act when they get out of the field and comes south, I'm made to pay for it by sitting in the B's for a weekend. Want an "experimental MRE" example of how this is true again?
Thanks Big Army.

Well, Soldiers get caught so easily in Seoul so they think "oh I'll go down south, cause nobody has thought about that before". LOL.

Still sucks when it comes to long weekends and being 2ID. I left before it got even more out of control (March 2018). I heard from my Commander a few months ago that each 2ID unit on a weekend or long weekend had to start "accountability" at 2230 so the reports could go up before midnight. Crazy, glad I am back in the US.
