What a story of life and death! Thank God it was life. People these days forget there were decent Germans, not just the worst of the SS. I have mixed feelings about the trials going on these days: Maybe after so much time has passed, if there’s no proof, the situations just need to be let go. Maybe by the legal letter of the law these people need to be tried, but I just don’t see how that helps anyone today.
