What was your Enlisted to Officer Commissioning choice?

I thought about this a little further and I think when you make your decision you should think about this as well. When you make decisions in general, you need to think about the decisions that create the most upside. When you lift weights in the gym you can isolate specific muscles, or do compound exercise to hit major groups. The point I'm making, is that you should make the decisions that accomplish the most goals simultaneously.

I don't know you, but I can tell you when I decided to go ROTC v. submitting an OCS package, I thought about education, long-term career goals, my wife, and how I would be able to balance everything all at once.

Bottom line, ROTC was a better way for me to earn a commission, improve my civilian career, have a chance to shadow Officers before commissioning, and was comparatively easier on my wife/family than going away for extended training.
