Ok so I’m a E-1 in the Army national gaurd and I’m going to recruit 2 more people and they are going to join witch will then put me to E-3 when I get out of AIT I wanna go active Duty and let’s say everything went fine I got my waiver and everything but my question is what rank dose the army typically not want?

Ima be honest with you your state and unit invested a lot of money in you. You need to do at least a year at your unit or two before you make the switch.

Hey I’m army national guard you can go active but give that unit you going to a chance learn what you can and then make the switch what state are you PVT (Join to see)

Ok yea make your rank give it a year or two then make the switch you need to stay e4 or below once you go if your higher than that your will get reduced in rank unless you have the ncoes under your belt PVT (Join to see)

The army doesn't have a preference in rank, you will rank up with time as you learn and grow in your mos.
