Can I sign into my next unit to receive that duty station's BAH while on Permissive TDY?

I am taking leave in conjunction with permissive tdy. My question is can I sign into my new unit to receive that units bah while on permissive tdy? I’m not trying to do anything weird but cost of housing makes it impossible for me to afford a place to live in the area without the bah.

You won't receive BAH until you inprocess finance. You can't inprocess till you sign in. You could sign in, inprocess, and then take permissive TDY.

While on the 10days of permissive TDY, you are authorized transient rate BAH. Once you sign in to the installation, finance will set your BAH rate to the local rate effective the date you signed in.

I had this almost exact situation happen to me, but while on PCS leave. Basically I signed in from leave, in-processes finance, and was allowed to sign back out on leave to continue my PCS leave (mind you, I was still in the new duty station’s area).
