Student Loan STD's

A video that makes a point in a funny way. But there is a deeper point here - student loan debt, like any debt can be good or bad depending on the purpose. Taking on a reasonable amount of debt for education that opens a door to employment is not bad, debt that leads to a dead end, like the 'degree in comparative philosophy" is not only bad debt, it's stupid. A degree like that qualifies you to say "Would you like fries with that".

"Free college" is not the answer. In the first place, nothing is 'free', it just means someone else is paying for it, likely through higher taxes. Secondly, 'free' college often leads to the development of 'professional students' who never stop going to college.

We have, as a society decided you 'have to go to college' when in fact there are many occupations that require no college to earn a good wage and living. What this country lacks is a technical education program -vocational training.

A1C (Join to see) - Nice video. I was exposed to Student Loan Debt myself. It took me almost 5 years of hard work to pay it off early. In addition to my military salary, I worked a part-time job whenever I could. The money from the second job went directly to the pay the Student loan.
