Interesting idea my friending SSG William Jones Leader and leadership are both knowns that indicate a position or role.
On the other hand, leading is certainly an action and not a position.

This would have been useful for my former TL who decided for himself that being an NCO = don't do anything anymore. You are a Team Leader....so go lead your team.
