I'm at a loss for words on this.
I can't help hoping that there is some rational reason for several systems to have failed this young lieutenant, but I can't think of any defensible ones -- or at least none that I'd consider defensible. Maybe some of you can.
I'm also hoping that someone on RallyPoint will have the wherewithal to help 1LT Katie Ann Blanchard.

As a fellow retired Nurse Corps Officer, I say shame on the chain of command for not listening to this Lieutenant when her voice was not heard and for the system not working! I wish I could go out to SAMMC-N and help out my fellow veteran. I hope that retired nurses in the area may be available to help her out.

This requires congressional intervention. I suggest letters to Senators and Congressmen immediately. I would also contact the Army Surgeon General.
