Does anyone know how they're going to do PT tests for trainings like ALC, BLC, etc.?

I'm planning on going to blc this year and gonna do what I can to get my stripes. I have a passing APFT and once gyms open back up I'll be crushing it again just had AT so i'm passing it anyways but that's here nor there.
My main question is what are they gonna do for these classes that require a passing APFT be taken at class? Are they going to go against reg and force record apfts, or do you think they'll wave that aspect and just continue with the rest of the training?

If you've already passed your PT test for this FY 20, then you will NOT be required to take another PT Test for BLC. Also SMA stopped PT Tests until 2022, so each year you'll be taking the ACFT Diagnostic test instead of an actual PT test until 2022.

SPC (Join to see) Correct, but I wouldn't recommend that you fail on purpose. Do your best on each diagnostic so that you'll know what you need to improve on. Also all of this is a result of COVID-19, so we really don't know what might change even more.

SPC (Join to see) - Without a medical condition, how and why would you allow yourself to get in the position of not being able to pass an APFT. It amazes me how many posts I see about the APFT. If your command isn't running a diagnostic on everyone at least once a month, you should do it yourself. If you can't score 1st class, you should be on your own remedial PT. If you can't score 2nd Class you should be on supervised remedial PT. Nobody should ever fail unless they are coming off an extended medical exemption.

When I was reading this it still doesn't make much sense. I understand it but if a Soldier has a passing APFT and then pretty quits PT he can then go to school without worrying about his fitness. I would have thought they would have came out with guidance regarding passing the ACFT. When they added the alternate event for the leg tuck I realized that it wasn't ready yet. But we will see. I am hoping we have the means of assessing Soldier fitness going into this next FY.

Just went through WOCS. I had to have a record APFT pass which was allowed to be expired, BUT I HAD TO PASS THE ACFT in order to enroll in the course. It was conducted on Ft. Rucker after 2 weeks of quarantine. If you failed the ACFT then you would take an APFT days later and if failed you would be recycled, but every course is different.

Use this standard and you cannot go wrong. Treat whatever school you are planning to attend just as if COVID 19 was not going on. Keep yourself in top physical condition to pass the APFT and be prepared to take an APFT. That way, should there be a change, ie a command that decides no really, you are going to take an APFT, you will not be caught flat footed.

Per the last directive from Big Army, all passing APFT/ACFT (regardless of timeframe due to COVID) will be used for the packet at the PME. Same for Weapons qual. For example, if your last passing APFT/ACFT was prior to the COVID outbreak, that passing APFT/ACFT will be used. If you failed an APFT/ACFT, then you will need to take one IOT have a passing APFT/ACFT for your PME.

Truth. For anyone who has not yet signed-up for S-1Net/MilSuite, do so immediately. Everything that gets put out by Big Army G-1 gets sent to your E-Mail the same day it is published. So you will be up to date on everything going on in the Army (personnel-wise). I knew that I got selected for OCS 2 weeks before my chain of command did.
