What can I expect to encounter at BLC?

I'm a relatively green NG soldier slotted to go to Ft. Sill in May for BLC. I'm a little afraid I may have bitten off more than I can chew. What skills should I study up on, knowledge to gather, and what's the daily life like there?

I attended BLC at Fort Sill. I was able to graduate as the DHG. Here are some tips: brush up on PRT; know proper form, cadence etc. and be ready to use ur command voice and lead PRT. Don’t stress Drill and Ceremony or Land Nav. Too much right now as the SGLs will teach you everything you need to know here at Fort Sill. Stay after with other soldiers and practice your PRT and D&C. When it’s your turn to lead anything do so with confidence, it will go a long way. do your homework, take notes and use ctrl f to help you score well on exams.
Don’t stress out, you have not bitten off more than you can chew! This course is fun and very informative. The fact that you are asking for help shows that you care about succeeding.

All of that seems too easy! The D&C and PRT is half of what they do at the ROTC program at my college, so I’ll start to run with them every day to get that squared away. Are we allowed personal technology devices like a laptop during the course?

It’s a gentlemen’s course. You will go to your barracks room every night. The school house will provide you with a laptop for school which you will carry everywhere. You are not allowed to have your cell phone on you at all during duty day. First offense is a counseling second is a ticket home.
Your PT Score will be factored in to your overall grade. Shoot for a 97% overall grade in the course- it’s very doable

Dude, I went there in 2012, as long as you follow instructions and don't act a fool you will be set. You don't. We'd to study anything other than 3 general orders, soldiers creed, and 7 army values. Leave everything else until you get there
