How competitive am I for OCS in all branches?
I am graduating with a finance degree with a 3.0 gpa. Decent physical fitness, not sure what my score would be yet. I have experience in a working environment as a manager, I have also started my own non-profit with my sister. I have very good interpersonal skills. Also, I know that there is a way for an enlisted to officer route, how selective is that? Please give me some advice.

Before you start thinking about beaches you need to get into OCS. Your competitiveness really depends on multiple factors because when selecting people for OCS, the boards look at the whole person. But there is no “test” to determine your competitiveness. Now, after you’re in OCS it’s a different story. Your branch will be assigned to you based on a preference sheet that you fill out, your standing on the OML (Order of Merit List) and the Cadre’s assessment of you. Bottom line, your performance in OCS determines your competitiveness for the various branches.

Honestly your biggest hurdle for getting into OCS will be your recruiter, because it takes more time and energy to get someone into the Army as an officer. But if that’s what you want to do then be persistent. And fact check what your recruiter is telling you (for example if they say something that makes you think WTF, bounce it off people here) because some of them will either stretch the truth or withhold some facts.

Also that should say branches at the beginning not beaches. I’m currently typing on my phone while feeding a 4 month old
