Here are my suggestions: 1. Be physically prepared prior to starting WOCS and maintain your fitness routine during WOCS. This will help you deal with the stress of the program and improve your resiliency. 2. Get in a “team” mindset. Everyone in your class has strengths and weaknesses and leveraging your collective strengths is the key to success. Help your classmates and they will help you. 3. Do not underestimate the academics. Be prepared to study and apply yourself. You will do a lot of work in between IDT weekends. 4. Have fun.

If you are committed you will make it through the course. Good luck!

I went to the RTI. It’s very much the same, and very much different at the same time.

I went through Kentucky. You get the same WOC SOP and all the customs and courtesies are the same, the difference is that your rooms are up to interpretation and the layout of classrooms and stuff like that. I honestly think it’s more difficult because you are coming in and out of the WOCS mode and going back to regular life over and over but it’s all part of it I suppose.

CW2 (Join to see) That's what I hear. I will be doing it in Colorado. I have 5 kids and my husband is a physician that works alot of hours so this schedule is ideal for us. What is a weekend like?

I’m sure it’s a little different state to state, but we were given a short block of time prior to report time to get everything done including room set up, classroom, and any equipment drawn from supply that we may need for the entire weekend. Then it’s regular WOC life, PT, classes, memos, training events etc. the main drawback for the RTI is all the extra work you have to do when you go back home from drill, balanced with your normal life routine.
