I'm a retired Electronics Engineer and live in Southern Oregon. I'm active in groups that support veterans of all wars. I'm an avid motorcycle rider and belong to a number of veteran related motorcycle associations.

Lead Mechanic

2nd/47th (Mech) | Camp Panther, Vietnam

Supervise maintenance of wheeled and tracked vehicles at 2nd and 3rd echelon repair level. Awarded the ARCOM for meritorious service in July 1969, awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in December 1969, awarded 2nd Bronze Star in May 1970 for meritorious service.

Vietnam War

Deployed to Southeast Asia, Vietnam and assigned to the 709th Maint. Bat. 9th Infantry Division at Dong Tam. Reassigned TDY to 2/47th (Mech) at Camp Panther. Reason for TDY was to reduce the work load at Ben Luc by performing 2nd and 3rd echelon maintenance at Camp Panther. 63H mos allowed me to supervise field mechanics to do 2nd echelon work.
