Bio
Retired Military Officer and current Federal Employee. My position allows me to find ways to help other Veterans and transitioning Service Members to find federal careers. I was able to find a 2nd career in the federal sector, 24 days after my retirement date, and I want to pass on my lessons learned to those that need to hear them. Brigade Personnel Officer (S1)
Senior Human Resources Officer; overseeing personnel and administrative actions of over 2000 Soldiers. Applies human resource planning concepts to complex issues like emergency disaster response and meeting requirements for the FEMA Region 9 Homeland Response Force.
Coordinated with executives and agencies at all levels, from across California to include local Sherriff’s and California Office of Emergency Services, and FEMA.
Manages compliance of brigade and subordinate battalion activities relating to internal and external audit requirements, and ensures adherence to standards of practice preventing legal or other challenges. Completed the HRCI Approved Skillsoft Professional in Human Resource (PHR) training, preparing for the PHR Certification.
