I'm 70, nev. married, live in Lincoln, MT. USN, 2 WestPac tours (boots on ground-RVN) in brown water Navy as EM3. Got out in 71 & worked for PG&E. Navy made me "Have to GO!" '72 Enlisted in USAF. Lost a stripe. Took red-in-force early out in 1974. Couldn't make rank. Became C-10 CA Elect. Contr. Wharf Const. Worker, AO Disposal and VX gas ops on Johnston Atoll. Last job radio talk show host!

In the Navy I was an "A" Schooled Electrician Mate. In the Air Force I was a Const. Electrician in a pool of unschooled Airmen working for W-10 civilians. Made Base Electrician after 3 months at MacDill AFB, FL. Only Airman below E-6 with troubleshooting experience who could work without oversight.

Responsibilities included upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of all motors, pumps controllers, and ship electrical systems. Maintain battereis for all small boats and emergency equip. Stand swithboard watches and show movies at sea.
