Battalion Aviation Maintenance Officer

224th MI, 116th MI BDE, INSCOM | Hunter AAF, GA

Served as the Battalion Aviation Maintenance Officer (AMO), responsible for the oversight of the battalion's aviation maintenance program for its manned MC-12 aircraft and unmanned MQ-1C Gray Eagle aircraft. Acted as the battalion's liaison for all things aviation maintenance related with higher echelons of command including brigade and MACOM elements, as well as the Army's Program Management Office. Additionally served as the Government Flight Representative (GFR) and Government Technical Monitor (GTM) for the on-site manned aviation maintenance contract. Additionally served as a MC-12M/S/W Pilot-in-Command under Day, Night, and Instrument Meteorological Conditions.

Served as the Battalion Safety Officer, responsible for the oversight of the Commander's Safety Program and ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the Battalion's UH-60L and UC-35A aircraft in addition to the safety and welfare of the Battalion's Soldiers, civilians, contractors, and family members. Additionally served as a UC-35A Pilot-in-Command under Day, Night, and Instrument Meteorological Conditions conditions throughout the PACOM Area of Responsibility. Served as a UC-35A Pilot under Day, Night, and Instrument Meteorological Conditions within Japan and throughout the U.S. Army Pacific's Area of Responsibility. Provided Operational Support Airlift (OSA) to all echelons of command within the PACOM AOR. Responsible for the safe operation of the airplane as well as the safety of all crew members and passengers aboard. Additionally served as a Flight Operations officer responsible for scheduling, planning and coordinating flights for any missions with in the PACOM AOR.

Additionally served as a C-12U/J Pilot-in-Command under Day, Night, and Instrument Meteorological Conditions conditions throughout the PACOM Area of Responsibility. Responsible for the safe operation of aircraft valued in excess of $5/25 million as well as the safety of all crew members and passengers aboard. In this capacity I also served as a primary trainer for the unit to ensure the development of junior pilots and prepare them for when they are ready to become Pilots-in-Command.
