Operation Support Hope
Operation Support Hope was a 1994 United States military effort to provide immediate relief for the refugees of the Rwandan Genocide. I deployed as a member of the Rainer ALCE (Air Lift Control Element) based out of McChord AFB. Our mission was to set up the airfield in Zaire for UN relief efforts and to control incoming sorties.
