In the on set of my career I served in the Amphibious Navy in the Southeast Asia theater, from there I decided it was a better career move to get into a critical skill set. I pursued the welding profession and became a high pressure plate/pipe welder, which put me in line for repair commands. It took a giant leap when I sought out diversity, for professional growth and Leadership development.

USS Holland (AS-32), Decommissioned Ships | Apra Harbor, GU

R-1 Division LCPO, responsible for 238 men and women of the repair one departments daily mentorship in improving skill sets per each rating assigned. Improving their Personal qualification standards through effective study habits and instilling pride and ownership being each and every ones personnel responsibility. Holding them accountable in all daily evolutions professional and personal. Ensuring all scheduled IMA repairs on all tended units were completed on or ahead of schedule . Participating in all daily repair department meetings with hour by hour updates on tended unit completions of affected repairs to get units to scheduled underway deployment level.

R-6 Division LCPO, responsible for young men and women of multiple ratings in their developmental progress professionally and personally. Instilling a positive leadership environment due to an I'll fated level of low moral. Created from and by previous leadership. This had created an adverse impact on this Intermediate Maintenance Activities responsibility to tended units. Became the first Surface Warfare Senior enlisted to take over as the Command Senior Chief of this facility in 22 years, since previously a billet normally held by a submarine senior enlisted. Also set a new standard with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, by erecting a nuclear waste containment facility within the dry dock in a record one week timeframe. Thus earning the command wide recognition for this achievement.
