Military Experiences

Served w/excellent people in A Co Data Plt! With a photography background they handed me a camera shortly after arriving at the fleet, from then on I was the defacto Bn photog. Cool perk was going through training, pre-dep workups etc. for the training itself, then run through again with the camera. Served at Camp Fallujah Aug05-Feb06, after the major fighting of '05. That we had a relatively uneventful deployment is a testament to those whom we relieved. Supported the network for the 4k folks there & stood checkpoint duty outside the wire for October with 2/6 & 2/7 Marines. Was training NCO for A Co, prepping for next deployment when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and decided not to re-enlist.
