Bio
Major Staci L. Reidinger, U.S. Marine Corps
A southern Louisiana native, Major Staci Reidinger enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 1993, serving in the food service and administrative fields and was selected in 2001 to the Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Program.
Major Reidinger attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education in May 2004.
During her time in the Marine Corps Major Reidinger has served in Okinawa, Japan with 3rd Marine Division, at Camp Lejeune with II Marine Expeditionary Forces, Marine Corps Reserve Support Command in Kansas City, MO, Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island with Sixth Marine Corps Recruiting District, at Marine Corps Air Stations Miramar and Yuma as well as overseas in support of international exercises in Australia and the Republic of the Philippines.
Major Reidinger deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from Jan 2009 to Feb 2010 working with U.S. and International forces in Afghanistan as a Public Affairs liaison officer and advisor, training over 450 Afghan government officials in media relations and crisis communication.
In 2011 and 2012, Major Reidinger led public affairs teams during Exercise Balikatan 11/12 in support of military-civil affairs development projects in the Republic of the Philippines to include building new school classrooms and bathrooms, emplacing water entrapment and water purification systems, providing medical, dental and veterinary care, and providing food and clothing to children in orphanages.
In 2012, Major Reidinger also deployed to Australia as a public affairs team lead in support of a multinational U.S. and Australia training exercise, Talisman Sabre. During this time, she lead a team of photo and video journalists covering amphibious operations, airborne assault training and urban warfare training.
In 2012 she completed a Master’s in Business Administration and was accepted in 2013 to attend a Marine Corps special education program at San Diego State University. After a 10-month course of study, Major Reidinger graduated with a Master in Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies.
She is currently the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for I Marine Expeditionary Force and the Director of Public Affairs for 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
Major Reidinger’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star in lieu of second award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal with gold star in lieu of second award and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service medal.
