I went through Army ROTC in college, declined my commission, and then went to OCS in the Marine Corps. After 18 years in the Marine Corps (8 active duty), I switched to the Louisiana National Guard. I love the Guard because of our relevance here in Louisiana. The Guard is the primary responder for hurricanes, and we get used a lot.
