Promotion
Commander: Be present. Receive company from 1SG. Have Soldier(s) post. Command At Ease. Have spouse/parent join Soldier of such are participating. Guide such participants to an appropriate location. State, from memory. what was on the 3X5 card that 1SG provided, and anything else that makes it personal. Direct orders to be published. Identify who will publish orders.
1SG: Ensure orders, and rank are available. Provide orders to whomever will publish them. Coordinate with Soldier's NCOSC on when promotion will occur, and participants. Obtain 3X5 card with Soldier/participant info for the commander from the Soldier's NCOSC, and provide to commander. Brief Soldier and any family members on sequence of events. Ensure info on card is correct. Form company and turn it over to commander. Sneer at junior LT who commander designated to publish orders as you assume your position.

Reenlistment
Commander: Be present. Greet everyone. State, from memory, what was on the 3X5 card that 1SG provided, and anything special reenlisted for. Direct Soldier to raise right hand. Read oath of enlightenment. Sign anything that needs signed, including pass.
1SG: Coordinate with Career Counselor for ceremony and any special requests. Obtain 3x5 card with Soldier's information and any participants from Soldier's NCOSC. Obtain reenlistment info from Career Counselor, and inform the same of ceremony time and place (They've always showed up, took pics, provides flag, etc.). Ensure U.S. flag is present and properly displayed.
