How Mandatory Careerism is Killing Airpower

All right Senior NCOs... Those who have followed my previous posts already know what direction this one is going, so pop the popcorn and let's light the fireworks. I vehemently despise careerism...especially in our enlisted corps. First and foremost, we do not have careers. We have terms of enlistment, and a few of us are fortunate enough to collect enough of them to become eligible to apply for retirement. Second, my mission is to enable our pilots to put warheads on foreheads, provide close air support, or move troops and material. It even says so in our Creed and our Little Brown Book. Quit pushing the block checking. We are weaker for it, and we owe our Nation, and the next generation of Airmen better.
