Hello Chiefs!
As a new Chief Select I have a question about the Jeep Chief. I remember seeing new Chiefs carrying the jeep around when I was a young NCO, but I see that the Jeep tradition has disappeared. What happened? Has anything replaced it? I would appreciate any information. One of my Chiefs from back in the day was asking when I would carry it and I told him I thought it no longer existed, but couldn't explain why.

I too remember the Jeep. It went away with the Indian chief heads during CMSAF Murray's tenure. We've been able to get the Indian Chief paraphernalia back but havent seen a Jeep. Weve talked about bringing it back at my vase but just hasnt happened.

What year was that? I enlisted in 1966 and retired in 1992 and never saw that.
