I would say it was stupid for a Transgender woman to go back to a room for sex with a man who fully expected a biological woman. That said, no, he shouldn’t have killed her, just left; he was very fortunate to make it back to the states in one piece. That Duerte is a tough cookie over all.

Part of this is the culture of never laying any blame on the victim. Ms. Laude should have been educated that young intoxicated marines going to a room with a girl are expecting what they think they are getting. I think he still needs to be in jail somewhere and to protect this vulnerable population, education needs to be in place. I am sure this is not the first ladyboy to meet this fate but the only one to make it to US press.
