Have you ever wondered how you stacked up across the Army? The latest data I could find was from 2013. Based on those numbers, if you achieved the grade of:
E5 - you are in the top 46%
E6 - top 27%
E7 - top 13%
E8 - top 3.7% (there's no data to distinguish between MSG & 1SG)
E9 - top .84% (again, no distinction between staff & command slots in the data)
While every position and pay grade is important, NCOs should take pause and take pride in their accomplishments and remember their responsibility to care for the other 54% and each other. 1SG (Join to see) 1SG Jeffrey Grice SGM Matthew Quick SSG (Join to see)

Nice inclusion of information. Having been retired for nearly two decades (and all of us retirees being "exiled" from AKO - due to potential security concerns - Ha!) I don't have the occasion to stay on top of this. re: SFC Settle's question - unsure if the magazine continues to provide this information. I did, however, find their online presence: http://soldiers.dodlive.mil/

1SG Glenn Moore I think it was a cost savings measure to go to e-media. Personally, I am an old dog and don't like all this "e" everything. Nothing beats paper and print media.

The Army would publish this data in Soldiers Magazine every year. I haven't read an issue in years, wonder if they still publish the info?

I put in a request. There is only one back issue available on the website. Thanks for the lead.
