I'm 100% for instituting a rank that's differentiating from others of the same rank. The Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) will be the first to wear this new rank - what are your thoughts?

It's about time that someone recognized that senior enlisted personnel may have something to contribute. Those thus far entrusted with membership on the "supreme" councils appear to need some fresh ideas

Particularly when those senior NCOs have been around longer than the commanders they advise.

As a former Senior Enlisted Leader at the Nominative level I would agree. The decision to use an eagle is a bit off putting for me. There are clear choices to elevate from in all of the services. For the Army and Marines sticking with the star as the foundation and advancing on that would have made sense. Again I do fundamentally agree that physical recognition should be clear when the enter a room or walk down a street. Congrats Team.

I agree. Maybe a Larger Star or one with Command Wreaths around the Star like CSM. The Eagle looks like A Colonel Sergeant Major or Maybe call it a Sergeant Colonel. Lol. I like the stars on the outside.
