Just curiosity,

Does anybody know if WO selection board panels are made of Warrants from different backgrounds or if they are specific to each branch (i.e. 920As for all 92Y applicants)?

Also, Who sets the selection criteria for these type of boards and do they change for every board?

Thanks in advance for your response and have a blessed night.

there is a 920B and a 920B senior CW4 sitting on the board. I was appointed as a PBO in 1975 because 92B had not been established yet. CW4 Wally Adaway sat on my board. We were stationed together in Frankfurt. He was a W01 and did not apply for warrant until his 18th year. Warrants can stay 40 years on active. Which he did. I spent 26.

When I was selected in the 90's, it wasn't just warrants, but everyone on the board were officers in my Corps. The president of the Board was an 0-6 Veterinary Officer, and there were Warrants and other Veterinary Corp Officers in my selection board.

Back then it was different than a promotion board, it was limited to Veterinary Corps Officers. I don't know if they still do it that way, or maybe it's different for some Corps.
