Who else was at West Point, New York on May 28, 1980 the day that the Class of 1980 Graduated?

35 years ago I was part of the graduating class of 1980. Among other things we were known for being the first class with women and we had a black First Captain - Vince Brooks. It was a long and challenging four years and I am thankful for my West Point education and the opportunity to serve this nation.

I graduated with the USMA Class of 1980 and was commissioned into the infantry.

I heard recently while watching on FB that GEN Miley, was USMA '80 but when I looked at his bio that he is a Princeton grad. He mentioned in his speech to the USMA football team on receiving the CIC Trophy that he had 300 hours walking tours on the Area. So I am guessing he did not graduate and finished his studies at Princeton? EV, USMA '92

Thanks MAJ (Join to see) three of my classmates are still on active duty General Vince Brooks USFK; General Tony Thomas SOCOM; General Joe Votel CENTCOM.
I had to chuckle at the idea of General Miley walking 300 area tours.
I had over 100 tours on the area and when I went back to USMA for my 25th anniversary in 2005 I walked a partial tour with the area formation - they were thrilled that I was a century man :-)
When I walked punishment tours we walked as individuals. I wore out 3 pairs of low quarters on the area. :-
