i agree it wasn't proper and never should have been allowed and showed poor judgement on the parts of a few people from the Commander on down. It does seem though the career ending punishment was a pretty extreme reaction however. The aim here is seems wasn't correction but a knee jerk action to punish everyone instead. It's My opinion that was overkill, I'm sure at this point they know it wasn't in good taste and should not have been done. It seems in the current time period there simply is no forgiveness or at least an chance to correct and learn from any errors for anything.

Capt Daniel Goodman - In any event I did feel it need to be acted on but perhaps I'm not as interested in punishing people esp if their overall records are fine. My presumption id if they had nothing to offer they most likely would not have advanced to the ranks they did. I'm not above punishment if its called for, I've even testified at Court Martial proceedings for serious criminal offenses and one I can think of got 25 years at Leavenworth, had some Life sentences also With over 50 years of combined Military and civilian Law Enforcement and later Federal Contract I had no problem bringing charges against people when it was called for. As a Senior NCO including some time as a First Sergeant I didn't always deal with people at their best either. I have seen some people at different levels of command that needed to be relieved and were. I know there will be different views from other people, which I have no problem with. I think We all do however agree what they didn't wasn't very smart and making a film record of it wasn't either. it was an interesting post anyway and thank for posting it and a response to My comments.

Believe me, one and all, I couldn't nelieve it at first, I honestly methought it wasn't for real, then, as I'd read OT, I realized OT was, and wemt WOW in my MIMD...when I first enlisted in ArmymROTC my PMS and one of his senior NCOs was there, a MSgt, both were REALLY serious Vietnam War heroes, the second time, I was at the AFEES, in Brooklyn, at Ft Hamilton, before it became a MEPS a ISAF 1st Lt handled it, there were about 30 prmso of is, both times, as I'd said, it was REALLY serious, that was why I thought you should all see that, honest....
