For reenlistment, what all posts are open for a 19K with family?

I am trying to figure out where would be the best place for me and my family to pcs to that is open for 19K's that would be good for not just me but my family as well

Have you looked at FMS web? I'm home right now so I can't get there, but you can get in with your CAC. Go to reports, then I think personnel, then you'll see a SSG rank insignia with "POSCO" under it. Click it, put in your pay grade, then fill 19K in the MOS blank and change the report type to "enlisted". It will show you all positions for your MOS, in that grade, Army wide. It can't tell you which ones are open however.

Two things:
- PFCs have more to worry about than FMSWeb
- FMSWeb will not show 'best place' or 'available assignments'.

OK I had a look, there are at least 44 slots there, in the 10th CAV regiment (14) and 68th Armored regiment (30). There may be more, but I just did a quick google search to see what armor units were there and found matches. But like I said before, that does not tell you if there are any vacancies. As the SGM recommended, go see your career counselor now, knowing you are not asking for something where nothing exists. They can make things happen.

you could ask your career counselor, they can tell you what is open as an option at that time. then you can take those options home and look up and see what post your think will be best for your family. and if there are multiple post open I would arrange them from your most preferred to least that way when you go back to reenlist is your first choice is gone you will have your second ready to go.

Its not horrible but its not great. Big thing there's nothing to really do here specially for family's, closets town is about an hour away

I not saying that its all bad.......rotation is great once you get used to the fact that everything will break and there is no time line it just happens, it just not the best of places for family's
