How about Overworked and Underpaid. I know when I got out as a Senior E5 with Hazardous Duty pay, Within 6 months as a Rookie Tail Board (non-union) Firefighter I was making almost twice what I left the NAVY at. I know the pay has not gone up a whole hell of a lot.

My average days inport on my last ship were 10-12 hours. Add in one 24 hour duty day that week and you hit 70 hours a week easy.

I did 16 hour days inport 5 days a week. 3 section duty 12 hour watches. At sea pete and repete. Add in drills,Quals, training, PMS,maintenance. Life sucked for a long time. Wish they would have never did our rate conversion. With the Clinton downsizing.

SCPO (Join to see) How much money was spent on a report that they could have gotten for free from pretty much any CO of any ship? Talk about wasteful spending.
