The Navy develops E-5 and up, for leadership. The course is/was called "Leading Petty Officer Training Course". It was a 3+/- day course. Went thru while stationed at ORLNTC, 1986.

It may not matter what your rank is? The Navy will not allow you to re-enlist if you don't demonstrate upward mobility and leadership. Anyway, I was just answering to a question from a fellow shipmate.

I didn’t go through any po3 or po2 leadership training, prouably because I was in Beirut both times,I got out in 84 that might be the reason also.
